It must be hard for the parents to visit, but I like to see the ones that are remembered and visited often. I do always like to know more about those that seem to have been forgotten and hope they are at peace.Susan Mannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09445232725431784781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-282332510068721962.post-42119259746090049122012-07-22T16:04:29.586+01:002012-07-22T16:04:29.586+01:00I wonder the very same thingsI wonder the very same thingsSeaThreePeeOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11639732349402996973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-282332510068721962.post-23904911082254688762012-07-22T08:22:55.940+01:002012-07-22T08:22:55.940+01:00I can't walk past these too without feeling sa...I can't walk past these too without feeling sad & wanting to know a little more. There are one or two local ones that I visit regularly and often wonder why they died, why they were buried where they are, does anyone still remember them?Erica Pricehttp://www.92three30.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-282332510068721962.post-63200726314784287722012-07-18T19:26:37.891+01:002012-07-18T19:26:37.891+01:00its sad. but all the angels are beautiful..its sad. but all the angels are beautiful..CaThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15448120621150624576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-282332510068721962.post-77216160746603808272012-07-18T16:59:00.921+01:002012-07-18T16:59:00.921+01:00What a fascinating blog! I went up with mil on what would have been Marks 40th birthday a few years ago,and it was so sad to see how neglected it was up there, all overgrown and no flowers :( i think its still hard for her to visit even after all this time.nicki hnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-282332510068721962.post-67423783971165283362012-07-17T14:41:15.268+01:002012-07-17T14:41:15.268+01:00Eileen Doris Andrews was sharon's half sister....Eileen Doris Andrews was sharon's half sister. a few years after Eileen's death her mother remarried a man named Taylor. Unfortunately researching people post 1911 census can prove difficult and expensive as you would have to buy the birth and death certificates to find out more. Sometimes I wish I was rich with money to burn.

I moved my Taphophile posts as I was starting to get negative comments on my other blog. I cannot seem to connect all the dots.

I totally agree with much of this. Maybe not the parents burying children bit. Things happen. Life is not fair. Life is random.

However, I do agree about the visiting of graves that we do as taphophiles. It is why I say 'warm touch upon cold hard stone'. It is a chain of respect, warmth and human connection that ripples through a graveyard, the way I see it.Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09513648613788716017noreply@blogger.com
